Thanks to all of those that attended the fund raiser that we had at Izzy's Bar and Grill in Roseville, Michigan last night. While a great time was had by all in attendance, we were a little disappointed in the amount of funds that were raised. ($261.14) None the less, it was wonderful to see many of our personnel pull together and we did manage to gather some civilian support as well.

To date, we have raised nearly $600.00 but we need your help and support as we have a long ways away before we can have every guard member fully equipped with a full Honor Guard dress uniform. Our goal is to raise nearly $10,000.00. We are also seeking funds for a memorial rig. Should the funding come, we are looking at purchasing either a 1972 International Harvester 1310 (The original Detroit EMS rig of 1972) or a 1972 Cadillac Ambulance.

Many thanks again to Izzy's and their staff, Izzy's Hockey team and to 101.1 WRIF Radio for their broadcast of our Public Service Announcement and last but not least, to Giff and the Band Muthaland for their performance! Here's some of the photos taken last night. See if you recognize these super stars for they are the ones that took the time out to attend and be a part of last nights festivities

The Honor Guard would like to give a special thanks to Karen Kipp for donating quilts for us to raffle off. She has spent many hours working on these and her work means a lot. Many of her family members are Fire Chiefs, Firefighter/EMS personnel and Police Officers.

The Guard extends its hands in friendship and gratitude to you Karen!
