Welcome to The Detroit EMS Honor and Color Guard's Official Website.
A little history about our Honor Guard. In the past 2 years, we have lost 4 of our active duty members due to cancer and in a rush, we put together a group of men and women to handle their funerals and honoring their years of dedicated service. Our Honor Guard participates in EMS Members funerals, Memorial Services, Parades and in the National EMS Memorial Service.
It is our mission to provide a quality service to our fallen retired and active duty members and their families when they pass as well as participating in local parades and local and national memorial services.
In 2007, our Guard, for the very first time, participated in the National EMS Memorial Service and were the very first representitives from the State of Michigan and the City of Detroit!

A special Thank you to United Irish Societies and their members for allowing The Detroit EMS Honor Guard to participate in the 50th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our Honor Guard headed up the parade's 2nd Division and is in line to lead the entire parade next year. Also, thanks to each and every Detroit EMS member that attended to see us march. Your support was MUCH appreciated!!!

There will be an addition to the Links page of the "Cheating Death" t-shirts. Yes, the Guard is selling shirts again and ALL proceeds will go towards the purchase of a Memorial Ambulance. DEMS members and the general public will be able to purchase our shirts from this website by using PayPal.
